Spring Season: Hot, or Not? - March 30, 2025
The stats speak for themselves. Jon and Sasha dominated the Winter Cup with an easy 2-0 victory.
Let's let the players speak for themselves as well!
Jon: "Ultimately, I'm disappointed. It seemed like there was some infighting in the FDB team. That level of infighting made the match less competitive than it should've been. We have some contract changes in the works - hopefully our next competition is a much more competitive event."
He went on... "Allegations of trolling... intentional feeding..."
Mike: "I stand by my allegations. Seeing King Boogey's performance from the Winter Cup to the Spring Season? They need to investigate for win-trading. Just saying."
Jon: "I don't plan on playing in the 2027 Winter Cup at the moment. But that's a long ways away."
Griffin: "I will always try my best. I did not intentionally lose - we made some rotten plays. That's all."
King Boogey: "I would never fix a match. MSG to be fined $1000 for their slander."
Well folks... you heard it here. No match fixing! And we're to expect some huge plays from Mike coming up - he's got to prove himself after those words.
Our official ratings:
Jon. He's the best there's ever been. The highest win rate and most competitive wins in history.
Sasha. Lower winrate than Jon, but still a huge threat. Currently the only player who can even stand in the shadow of Jon.
Mike. A rising star. On an upward streak - we expect good things.
Graham. Low number of recorded games but immense amount of experience. Rumored to be a dark horse.
Alex. We would recommend another option unless he starts putting in practice.
Griffin. As team captain of FDB, he needs to hope and pray that he can even staff a team. He is the most losing-est player in KBBA history.
2025 Winter Cup Results - March 16, 2025
MSG, led by their team captain, commanded a dominating 2-0 win against Fat DoBby.
In game one, FDB banned Psycho Mammoth - one of their main characters. This surprise tactic didn't catch MSG off guard, as they banned Ancient Troll, a pick they thought was too powerful to be left open for FDB to first pick. FBD went for Pulverizer and MSG responded with Drok. FBD then picked Goblin Technomancer for the lane matchup, countered by a swap to Dwarven Battle Engine by the MSG team captain.
MSG won lane, and the Battle Engine picked up quite a few kills against the Goblin, ultimately removing his presence from the game entirely. MSG kept their lead until the end of the game, and didn't lose the Northern Zone a single time, starting the series with a 1-0 lead.
Next match, FDB banned King of Graves and Delirium - the two main characters for MSG. FDB then picked Psycho Mammoth - a signature pick. MSG answered with Stalwart, answered by FDB's Dark Magician pick. MSG ended the draft with Shaman, their hyper-scaling answer to the slow-sieging team on FDB.
While FDB took a commanding lead with creeps, zone control, and kills, they failed to push the lane as the game went on. FDB held a commanding lead and destroyed the entire enemy team with one ultimate ability in a skirmish over the Northern Zone. However, MSG eventually picked them off with a double kill by Stalwart and took to their base to end the game.
